When you would use this
Most splitting is about sending someone less than the whole document: pulling the three relevant pages out of a sixty-page report, separating one invoice from a monthly statement batch, or removing an appendix before sharing. Splitting into single pages is the usual first step when a document needs to be re-ordered, partly re-scanned, or distributed page by page.

- Are my files uploaded to a server?
- No. Every tool on this site runs inside your browser. Your file is read from your disk into your own browser's memory, processed there, and written back out. You can confirm this yourself: open your browser's developer tools, switch to the Network tab, and run the tool — you will not see your document being sent anywhere. It also means the tools keep working if you go offline after the page has loaded.
- How do I write a page range?
- Use commas for separate selections and hyphens for ranges — for example 1-3, 7, 12-15. You can also click page thumbnails to select them visually instead of typing.
- Can I get each page as its own file?
- Yes. Switch to 'Split into single pages' and every page becomes its own PDF. They are bundled into one ZIP so you only download once.
- Does splitting keep the original file intact?
- Yes. Your original is never modified — it is read into the browser's memory and the extracted pages are written out as a new document. The file on your disk is exactly as it was, so there is nothing to undo if you change your mind.
