When you would use this
Rotation problems nearly always come from a scanner or a phone camera: a landscape page fed in portrait, or a batch where one sheet went through sideways. It matters more than it looks, because a page stored at the wrong orientation prints wrong and is awkward to read on a phone, even when your desktop viewer happens to correct it on screen.

- Are my files uploaded to a server?
- No. Every tool on this site runs inside your browser. Your file is read from your disk into your own browser's memory, processed there, and written back out. You can confirm this yourself: open your browser's developer tools, switch to the Network tab, and run the tool — you will not see your document being sent anywhere. It also means the tools keep working if you go offline after the page has loaded.
- Why does my PDF look rotated in one app but not another?
- Some viewers ignore the page's rotation flag. This tool writes rotation into the page dictionary the way the PDF specification defines it, which every compliant reader honours.
- Does rotating reduce quality or increase file size?
- Neither. Rotation is a single instruction stored on the page, not a redrawing of its contents, so nothing is re-encoded and the file size is essentially unchanged.
