How to crop a PDF

When you would use this
Cropping is usually about reclaiming space or attention: trimming the huge white margins off a scanned book page so it is readable on a phone, cutting a slide deck exported at the wrong size down to the slide itself, or isolating one table from a wide report before sharing it.
Questions about Crop PDF
- Are my files uploaded to a server?
- No. Every tool on this site runs inside your browser. Your file is read from your disk into your own browser's memory, processed there, and written back out. You can confirm this yourself: open your browser's developer tools, switch to the Network tab, and run the tool — you will not see your document being sent anywhere. It also means the tools keep working if you go offline after the page has loaded.
- Does cropping delete the content outside the box?
- No, and this matters. Cropping sets the visible area of the page; the content outside it is hidden rather than destroyed, and someone with PDF editing software could restore it. If you need content genuinely gone, use Redact PDF instead.
- Can different pages have different crops?
- Apply a crop to the page you are viewing and move on to the next one — each page keeps its own crop box. Or use Apply to all pages when every page has the same unwanted margin, which is the usual case with scans.
